Living in Feminine Flow Retreat
When the Mamacitas made their way to the Sea of Cortez, where the desert meets the sea, we didn’t just set out on a retreat — we set out on a journey home to ourselves. Living in Feminine Flow was more than a weekend getaway; it was a sacred pause — a chance to soften, receive, and rediscover the rhythm within.
🌅 Day One: Setting Sail & Letting Go
Our journey began aboard a sunset cruise, setting sail into golden hour with local hosts from Puerto Peñasco. As we drifted away from shore, laughter mingled with the hum of the waves. The resorts faded into the horizon, and in their place — vast, open water, and possibility.
We danced, shared stories, and toasted to what was ahead as the sky turned a deep amber. By the time the sun dipped below the Sea of Cortez, we weren’t just a group of women — we were a sisterhood, ready to flow together. The evening closed with dinner by the marina — live music, fresh seafood, and laughter that echoed long after.
💛 Day Two: Finding Our Rhythm
The morning greeted us with calm seas and radiant light. We gathered barefoot for our first Morning Circle — each woman introducing herself, sharing her connection to the community, and setting her intention for the weekend. And then, as if summoned by the energy of our gathering, a family of twelve dolphins appeared, swimming directly in front of our circle — twelve women, twelve dolphins, flowing together.
Dolphins are symbols of joy, harmony, and divine connection. Their presence felt like a blessing from the sea — a reminder that when we gather with love and intention, nature responds.
We began with movement and meditation, syncing our breath to the rhythm of the waves. Later, we opened our Ebb & Flow magazine and explored the theme of healing the sister wound — rediscovering connection beyond comparison, competition, or hurt. We reflected on the woman beneath the roles and journaled on shedding our armor to make space for love.

Afternoon brought time for art and rest — coloring pages designed by local artists Ali Aroz and Manitas Creativas offered a meditative space for reflection. Then, as the sun lowered, we dressed for our Seaside Picnic, curated beautifully by Strauss Detalles — personalized cookies, fresh florals, and laughter by the water. Each Mamacita had her own photoshoot to capture her current season — radiant, strong, and in flow.
The evening ended with a pajama party and karaoke session — two hours of unfiltered joy. Dancing, singing, and reconnecting with our playful, unguarded selves reminded us that healing also lives in laughter.
🌿 Day Three: Service, Stillness & Sisterhood
We welcomed the day with a movement circle on the beach — shaking off stress, breathing deeply, and grounding into gratitude. Then came art again — painting small canvases with De Colores Studio, guided by inspiration to chase dreams with courage and color.

Later, we shared poké bowls and dove into a conversation around 8 to Great by MK Mueller — a guide to creating lasting positive change through forgiveness and gratitude. Together, we explored the six nurturing aspects of feminine flow: body & self-care, movement & play, creativity & expression, relationships & connection, spirituality & inner life, and nature & sensuality. Every activity that weekend was a reflection of these pillars.
That afternoon, our flow led us to service. We visited Educarte, a local nonprofit that provides therapies and education for children with special needs — services often unavailable in the city’s public schools. We helped paint a therapy room and learned about their mission to keep care accessible to families in need. It was a humbling, heart-expanding experience — a reminder that community doesn’t end where the retreat does.
Evening brought stillness again — this time indoors for Sound Healing with Santa Wellness. The crystal bowls filled the high-ceilinged room with resonance, wrapping each of us in vibration and calm. When the tones faded, silence felt sacred. We drew oracle cards, shared reflections, and ended the night with Yoga & Wine — led by Amber, who turned yoga into play once more, balancing bottles and laughter in perfect harmony.
Dinner was a colorful, joy-filled celebration prepared by our private chef — a feast of Mexican-inspired flavors, storytelling, and deep connection. Each woman shared what she was releasing and what she was carrying forward. Tears flowed as easily as laughter — the kind of exchange that only happens when hearts feel safe.
Day Four: Return to Flow
Our final morning circle was held indoors — quiet, grounded, and full of love. We set our intentions for what comes next, reflecting on the lessons we’d carry home. And just as we began to close, our dolphin friends returned — a gentle, poetic goodbye from the sea.
We left Puerto Peñasco filled with gratitude — not just for the beauty of the place, but for the depth of connection that grew between us. From desert roots to ocean waves, Flow reminded us that grounding and fluidity aren’t opposites — they’re partners. One helps you stay, the other helps you move.
💫 The Ripple Continues
Every retreat plants seeds that continue to grow — in conversations, in choices, in courage. The Living in Feminine Flow retreat was a celebration of movement, meaning, and the magic of women gathering with intention. 🌿
